JOMON DESIGN
The pattern on this product is reproduced from pottery belonging to the kamegaoka culture , which flourished towards the end of the Jomon era , approximately 3000-2300 years ago .
The Kamegaoka culture was named after the site of kamegaoka , located in the city of Tsugaru , clay figurines and lacquer ware this culture produced constitute primitive crafts that are highly evaluated worldwide .
The design of this product reflects research conducted by Hirosaki University .
